Barb Jacobson has experience on both sides of the welfare system, as a claimant and advisor, as well as working in a variety of other jobs. She has organised around women’s, health, welfare, and housing issues for over 30 years. Barb is Co-ordinator of Basic Income UK, and was the founding Chair of UBIE (Unconditional Basic Income Europe) from 2014 to 2017.
Maggie Gordon-Walker is an arts professional, working as writer, performer, and director. She founded Mothers Uncovered in 2008 (for her registered charity Livestock). The creative peer support courses allow feelings to be explored honestly, without judgement. She is an advocate for matrescence (the transition to motherhood), dedicated to giving women a voice. Maggie is a co-founder of Basic Income South East.
Rev Karen Webber is a Methodist Minister based in Birmingham, with pastoral responsibility for two churches, one of which is located in a multi-deprived area. She also facilities an online Art Church (all rubbish transformed) a place to be real in faith through the medium of creativity, and has a passion for craftivism: a slow and intentional form of activism. Prior to ministry her work history includes: hairdressing, NHS work, Home Maker & Interior Design.
Richard High has been a lifeguard & swimming teacher, cycle courier, painter & decorator, TEFL teacher, clothes shop manager, graphic designer, business-to-business journalist, and social media manager.
